Colorado Promotes Two-Line, $21 Billion High-Speed Connections Across State

  1. This blog entry posted on The Transport Politic speaks to why we need a national agency to coordinate rail transport decision-making. It highlights in particular the inherent flaws of the current earmmarking provisions that impact federal decision making. Even if the investment never clears the planning phase, a transparent screening process at the federal level might have made this apparent before time and money had been invested performing detailed studies. I strongly side with the author's opinion.
